New Bandcamp page / 2013 round-up

Howdy and a belated Merry Christmas!

I recently set up a Bandcamp page to sell my music. Pretty much all my releases are available digitally, and I'm also selling physical versions of most of them.
Check the list of releases, or just check the merch!

So what happened in 2013?
I released my collaboration with Christophe Bailleau on Time Released Sound, and participated to the latest IA album, "Labyrinth".
My other project / band Silencio released a new album on CD/LP on three:four records. It was wonderful to see this project finally happen after years of work (and years of letting things take shape by themselves in between, I guess!).
I learnt a whole lot of things about sound and finished my studies for the second time.
I moved in with my beautiful girlfriend.

As far as 2014 is concerned, I'm planning at least one new release, we're looking to book shows with Silencio, and though I'll probably be taking my time, I'd like to work on a set to play solo shows. We'll see how that goes.

Records I loved from this past year :
True Widow - Circunambulation
Deafheaven - Sunbather
The Field - Cupid's Head
The Necks - Open
Maninkari - Phantasmes

Contribution on new IA release

My good friend Alex Copeland aka IA has a new album out on Still*Sleep called Labyrinth. The basis for this release was recorded in Brussels with his brother and I in Brussels some time ago. Alex reworked these recordings and added other in order to construct his album. This is a proper IA release and not a follow-up to The Bay.

Have a listen :

Reviews for "Outshining Memories"

Norman Records (8/10)
"In short, this is a high quality release"

Fluid Radio
"Outshining Memories is not blunt, nor does it matter that the debate, whilst important, is well worn: listening to these two musicians throw in their two cents is perfectly enjoyable"

Beach Sloth (7.8/10)
Christophe Bailleau and Julien Demoulin create an album of hope with ‘Outshining Memories’"

The album is still available from Experimedia, Aquarius Records, Norman Records, Stashed Goods, or directly from Time Released Sound.

Christophe Bailleau collaboration out now on Time Released Sound!

I am happy to announce that "Outshining Memories", my collaborative album with my friend Christophe Bailleau which we started in 2011, is now out from Time Released Sound

You may know this Californian label from their insanely elaborate hand-made packagings... here's the description of the artwork for this release:
“Outshining Memories” will be available in a limited edition of 100 deluxe copies. Each of these beauties comes in the form of an 8″ x 5.5″ machine sewn booklet. Each unique booklet has a cover made from an antique 8″x 10″ b/w negative still…sewn in between the folded and sewn film still is a selection of original artwork pages, antique diagrams and wallpapers and other ancient paper ephemera. Each book is then gone through painstakingly and scribbled in, stamped and otherwise artified to the usual TRS standards! Sewn into the center of the book is the cotton sleeve that holds the factory pressed disc. Each booklet comes in a hand stamped translucent envelope. There will also be a limited amount of this release available in a hand printed paper sleeve version..

You can purchase the album now from Time Released Sound!

Also, a discography page is up, from where you can download and/or purchase whatever music I've released under my own name.
